I know what you’re thinking. Where on god’s green earth have we been? Do we think we can disappear with no warning for a month and then pop up again like a greedy gofer wanting back in the spotlight? This isn’t a game of wack-a-mole! This is life. And you’re right. Well, all I can say is, this blogger needed a long staycation. But now we’re back. Stay on your toes.
When we left, I was feeling burnt out and lazy—I was bored with my usual internet haunts and had exhausted my store of blogging ideas. And since it was right around my birthday, I was also feeling pretty self-indulgent. Needless to say, there was quite a bit of TV and a lengthy Netflix instant queue ready and waiting for me. I was also avoiding my inbox like the plague, letting the emails and Fbook messages build up. Not to mention my to-do list, which seems about about as easy to conquer as the Hydra—as soon as I mark something off, two more tasks pop up its place.
So I had gotten into this routine of letting my responsibilities build for a few weeks before purging my inbox in one afternoon marathon of typing and sending and copying and pasting. This latest binge has definitely been the longest, and I have to say, spending more time off my computer has been refreshing. But we’ve missed you. I’ve missed my outlet. And I’ve realized that, in order to create a healthier balance, it’s time to switch the focus of the Westervin blog a bit. I need to spend a little less time seeing what others are doing and making (not ignoring completely, people. you know i gotta get my etsy and flickr fixes) and a little more time making and doing things myself and with Brian (and with our dear friendies). I wanna put the WE back in Westervin!
Luckily, much has happened in our world outside the interwebs in the past month, and we have much to talk about. Let’s get back to it, shall we?

i like it.
yay!
I knew we still had some loyal readers! I’m glad you’re still with us despite our slacking.
thanks for the prop! what a pleasant surprise!
and I’m glad you’re back. I missed you.
