Two Years of Westervin!

Have you heard?! Westervin is 2 years old. That’s quite a feat, if we may say so! What’s that? You don’t have a present? Well, that’s ok. Turns out you can wish us well by completing a little reader survey. It’ll help us get a better idea of what you like about Westervin, so we can be even better friends this year.
Westervin began as a way to keep Sarah busy while she was unemployed in December of 2009 and as an outlet for her blossoming Etsy habbit. Turns out that blogging about products you like is a cathartic alternative to buying them. She then got Brian on board to share his escapades and interests.

In the beginning it was more of a one way stream of communication, blogging for a few friends and family. But soon we found ourselves within a community of friends, old and new, bloggers, crafters, and otherwise inspiring folk.

Westervin’s content has also fluctuated and evolved over the last two years, as our lives have changed and, as we’d like to think, we’ve grown up a bit. Just a tiny bit.

Now, it’s time to look ahead. We plan to keep at it as long as we can and not let school, or work, or domestic life get in the way. Our goal is to push ourselves to make, do, and learn more, so that when we look back again, we see a creative and inspiring body of work and an entertaining log of our daily goings-on. To do so, we want to make sure that Westervin stays fun and fulfilling for us, as well as engaging for you, our handsome readers. Don’t blush. You know it’s true.
