I just can’t get enough of Nick Mullins’ brooches! They’re definitely “yayza!”-worthy sculptural pieces, made from found objects or materials made to look like found objects, like jewel-encrusted hairballs. “Hey, Nick! What’s that on your shirt?” — “Oh this? It’s just my jewel-encrusted hairball brooch. Yeah… I just found it.” Plus, it never hurts when you can coordinate your jewelry with your facial hair.

Posts have been a little slow today, and I apologize for the lack of interesting-ness here. Some days the seeds of inspiration are quick to sprout, and sometimes the ground is too cold and you slept too hard and you just want to look at pictures of beautiful celebrities in their glamorous red carpet duds and resent their success and wealth and then ignore your troubles in a Law & Order marathon all day. I’m not proud of it, people! So in an effort to leave you with some bit of loveliness for the day, I offer you a second helping of pretties. I hope you enjoy!

Megan Bogonovich‘s work is part Alice in Wonderland, part Honey I Shrunk the Kids and part Planet Earth (ya know, like that time-lapse photography of mushrooms popping out of the ground and sea anemones sprouting little tendrils… I feel like these sculptures are gonna start blooming). With each fanciful figure, Megan is “sharing a quiet and detailed secret, one that you want to lean in and listen to.” Shop
