{ Needlepoint Series: Gated Trash }

I find this Needlepoint Series by Dina Weiss truly amazing. Not just because it brings to mind fond childhood memories of Oscar the Grouch, perhaps my favorite Sesame Street character, but also because it completely rejects the flowery, sweet and delicate styles of traditional needlepoint. The scenes of city trash are gross but still beautiful. Dina has made some magic here.
